This vacancy is open ONLY to employees of The RJAH Orthopaedic Hospital NHS FT, Shrewsbury & Telford NHS Trust, Shropshire Community NHS Trust and Shropshire Telford and Wrekin ICB. The DAWN administrator is responsible for the maintenance of the Rheumatology DAWN data base at RJAH.
The DAWN Rheumatology software package is a comprehensive results and follow-up management application. It's use enables clinical staff to review and track patients whilst managing their disease and medicines safely and effectively.
The system links with the hospital pathology, patient administration and clinical records systems and pulls the patient data into one place, streamlining patient monitoring by the Rheumatology team, including consultants, nurses, therapists, pharmacists, administration and management. There will be improved governance and accountability through the ability to audit through automated background reporting and measurable improvements in data reliability and accuracy.
Main duties of the job
o in-put and retrieval of data,
o training and advising staff in its use, in accordance with local protocols
o ensuring good data governance in accordance with Trust policies and local protocols,
o running audits as directed by the clinical lead for Rheumatology and
o liaising with the software company regarding maintenance and up-grades.

To do this on own initiative, planning and organising own working day, for example, checking data base out-puts, helping staff with their queries, arranging to meet staff to discuss issues concerning the database.

6. Plan and organise monthly reports for the clinical team generated through the DAWN system and present the report at the Rheumatology multi-disciplinary team meeting (monthly).
