Role can be either Full Time or Part Time/Job Share
To assist with clinic typing mainly within the Foot and Ankle sub-specialities of Orthopaedics to maintain the typing time line target.
Ensure all onward referrals have been received and processed following clinic typing.
To regularly check Bighand dictation system for urgent/due by dictation.
Process incoming mail and distribute as necessary.
To scan documents on to the electronic patient record.
To answer incoming telephone calls and carry out external telephone calls.
Main duties of the job
To type clinic notes, operation notes, pre operative notes, ward notes, and correspondence of varied medical terminology, accurately through audio typing distributing as necessary to the relevant healthcare professions.
Process incoming mail and distribute as necessary on a daily basis.
To scan documents into the correct section of the patient's EPR record, performing a quality assurance check for each scanned document.
To regularly check Big Hand for urgent dictation.
Ensure all clinical letters are completed and dispatched, where possible, within the 10 day standard.
Complete Inter Provider Transfer forms accurately to effectively coordinate patient's pathway with other hospitals.
Ensure that all entries and information on the hospital computer systems such as PAS and EPR are accurate and complete.
To answer incoming telephone calls as well as carrying out external telephone calls.
