To support the delivery of the breadth of the Trusts' Quality and Safety Agenda, including the effective delivery and oversight of the following agendas: -
- Patient Safety
- Clinical Effectiveness (including audit, quality improvement and research)
- Patient Experience and involvement

The post holder is accountable to the Head of Clinical Governance & Quality, working with the Delivery Uni's triumvirate to support to develop and support implementation of systems and processes to ensure the delivery of robust governance oversight for the Directorate.
Main duties of the job
The post holder as a senior member of the Governance Team will support the delivery of the Trust Quality and Safety Agenda for their respective Delivery Units including patient safety, patient experience and involvement, risk management, clinical effectiveness, and compliance.
The post holder will support the Head of Clinical Governance & Quality in the operational delivery of the quality and safety agenda. Working in partnership with the Delivery Unit triumvirate, Matrons and Operational Managers, front line staff and enabling colleagues, the post holder will develop and support implementation of systems and processes to ensure the delivery of robust governance oversight for the Delivery Units.
The post holder will ensure consistency across the delivery unit, in its approach and ensure effective benchmarking both internally and externally, sharing findings and ensuring the uptake of best practice.
The post holder will also be required to take a lead on the following areas within governance, supporting the respective committee's in: -
- Patient Experience (including PALS, Complaints and Claims)
- Patient Safety (Datix Administrator, Incidents, Risks (including Corporate Risk Register)
supporting the organisation to provide quality assurance for patient Safety, Clinical Effectiveness and Patient Experience
