An exciting opportunity has arisen at The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital Trust (SaTH) for a methodical and focused individual with experience of structured systems analysis, design, and programming to join the Trust's Development Team as a Software Developer.

The post holder will have proven experience of change management, ideally in relation to clinical system implementation. You will be highly capable of planning and prioritising work, managing competing demands and deadlines and you will have the enthusiasm and drive for results. You will be required to take a flexible and innovative approach combined with excellent interpersonal, analytical and communication skills to ensure that the application performs to the requirements of its users and clinicians.

This is an excellent time to join our team as we embark upon the delivery of a digital transformation roadmap across the organisation.

Initially this post is until 31st March 2025, with a possibility of extension.

Main duties of the job

Working as a member of a team, this role has responsibility for developing, testing, and productionising new technologies, programs and interfaces. The role involves close liaison with all levels of clinical and administrative staff. This role covers a second-line support responsibility offering both in-hours and out-of-hours support for Trust systems

About us

Working as part of the Development team within the Digital Services department you will work autonomously, within the boundaries of the role, as well as, importantly, being part of a team.

You will be supported by the Service Development teams to deliver services designed for a fast paced clinical environment.
