Job summary
Frailty services at The Shrewsbury and Telford NHS Trust have an opportunity for a Specialist Occupational Therapist to join our established team, rotational across both Frailty teams at Shrewsbury and Telford sites.
Our highly regarded frailty team works as an MDT providing admission avoidance services and therapies to prevent deconditioning in the areas of ED, AMU and short stay wards.
Due to the specialism of this role, those without NHS experience need not apply.
Main duties of the job
Successful candidates will provide Occupational Therapy to patients within an acute setting, maximising independence to prevent deconditioning. This offers opportunity to be a part of daily therapy huddles and access to support and guidance from the wider team, as well as discussion to create integrated patient journeys.
