Job summary

We are seeking to appoint a Chief Operating Officer who will lead the delivery of high-quality clinical services and inspire and lead our operational teams to deliver safe, effective, and high-quality services. Working with our staff, stakeholders, and Board, you will shape and drive our improvement and transformation programmes whilst leading operational delivery and performance in line with constitutional standards in a challenging environment.

Main duties of the job

The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is the main provider of acute hospital services for around half a million people in Shropshire, Telford, Wrekin and mid Wales.
