Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a forward thinking Dental nurse Band 5.
The successful post holder will support the Senior Dental nurse in providing a unified approach to high standards of patient care.
To support an environment that promotes excellence in nursing practice and development of high level of clinical skills.
Work collaboratively and co-operatively with others to meet the needs of patients and their families.
Main duties of the job
Participate in team building /communication to develop and consolidate a supportive team.
To communicate effectively and work in partnership with patients , their relative/carers, nurse colleagues and members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure care is delivered in an accurate and efficient manner.
Receive sensitive information concerning patients medical condition, deal with nervous and anxious patients.
Accept responsibility, be aware and be able to locate all policies relating to good working practice within the clinical area and be able to adhere to both yourself and colleagues.
To have good communication skills both verbally, formal documentation.
Maintain accurate and legible records of patient care in line with trust policies.
Adhere to trust policies pertaining to patient confidentiality the data protection Act/Caldicott recommendations
We support flexible working , with full time and part time positions available.
Working across either site, The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and The Princess Royal.
