This exciting opportunity is for a Business Administration Apprentice within the Medical Engineering department at The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust (SaTH). You will gain experience and knowledge of day to day administrative tasks in an office environment and study for a Level 3 qualification in Business Administration.

You should have or expect to have GCSE Maths and English at level 2 (equivalent to grades 4 or C) or above.

Please note, as you will be studying for a Level 3 Business Administration qualification, you must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject.

Main duties of the job

Working closely with the Medical Engineering Office Manager, you will be taught all aspects of working in a busy office environment, whilst studying part time for a Level 3 qualification in Business Administration.

As a Business Administration Apprentice, you will be afforded the opportunity to learn and develop your skills in all aspects associated with a busy office supporting an engineering team. This will be augmented with paid study time to complete a NVQ level 3 in Business Administration.

About us

The Medical Engineering Department provide medical device support for The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust and have main workshops based at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford. The department also provides service to external organisations, such as Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust and other private organisations. The admin team provide vital support in these activities, working closely with all staff within the department and staff from other hospital departments.
