Are you an experienced Senior Technical Project Manager looking for your next challenge?

We are pleased to be recruiting Senior Technical Project Managers on a 12 month fixed term contract, to play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of the Digital Transformation programme supporting the strategic digital objectives and strategy across the organisation.

The role will be responsible for managing complex technical projects including the development and management of project plans and issue & risk logs. You will play an integral part to the project management groups, ensuring that all project workstream leads both internal and external are on target to deliver workstream tasks which is critical to a safe and successful go-live / cutover.

Part of your core role will be to ensure that highlight reports are completed within the agreed timeframes and relevant project documentation is prepared in advance of project Programme Boards and Steering Committees.

Main duties of the job

  • The post holder will be required to build and maintain excellent working relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders on a range of business sensitive issues.
  • Managing interdependencies across on-boarding, transition to BAU, maintenance and upgrade workstreams managing effective working relationships with the appropriate stakeholders.
  • To be able to communicate with internal digital teams, divisional IT teams, ICS system partners and third party suppliers discussing complex technical terminology including firewalls, VM technologies, LAN / WAN, Wireless, Storage etc.
  • Ensures optimum engagement, securing appropriate buy in, support and understanding
  • Provide and receive highly complex, sensitive and contentious information, including presenting information about projects and dependencies to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders in formal settings.
  • Chair project workstream lead meetings ensuring workstreams remain on target and track any project escalations through to resolution
  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of ongoing project initiation documentation (PID).
  • Plan and organise a broad range of complex activates in relation to projects which may require adjustment
  • Produce and update high quality project documentation including project plans, communication plans, benefits realisation plans, highlight and exception reports.
  • Identify project stakeholders and implement sustainable stakeholder management plans
