Job summary

An opportunity has arisen to join the Finance Department at The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust in the role of Assistant Financial Accountant (Systems).

As part of the Financial Accounting team you will be the Trust's lead for the day-to-day maintenance of the Trust wide (1,000 user) Oracle integrated finance and purchasing system ensuring that all external feeds are consolidated into the financial system in line with agreed timetables.

Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, the successful candidate will support the Senior Financial Accountant by performing monthly control account reconciliations and writing basic reports. The abilities to learn quickly and to use initiative are essential.

Main duties of the job

To take Trust wide responsibility for the local configuration, performance and roll out of the Oracle Finance and Procurement system. Provide site technical support, advice and training for users of the system toensure its operational effectiveness from purchasing (requisitioning of goods) to payment (goods receipting).

To create user permissions for new employees and include in the system's purchasing hierarchy in line with Trust authorised signatories before passing to the central team for full set up. Deleting formeremployees from system on a monthly basis.
