Job summary

We are looking for a Procurement Officer or Pharmacy Support Officer to join our fantastic Procurement team.

The position will suit procurement individuals that are looking for a change in career or hospital based pharmacy support workers that wish to broaden their experience.

Main duties of the job

To support the efficient and effective running of the pharmacy procurement service

  • Maintenance of computer systems and databases
  • Raising medicine orders
  • Processing of invoices
  • Liaising with medicine and equipment suppliers

Due to investment and the development of new roles, there are several new opportunities available within our department. The Trust has successfully secured £312 million from HM Treasury to fully develop the facilities and services within The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust (SaTH).

  • GCSE's or equivalent in Maths, English and a Science
  • NVQ level 2 or equivalent in pharmacy or pharmacy or equivalent administrative experience

Desirable

  • NVQ 2 or equivalent certificate in procurement and supply operations

  • Previous work experience within administration in a healthcare setting

  • Previous work experience within Pharmacy
