Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the Temporary Staffing Management Team

The successful applicant will play a key role in the delivery of a high quality service to the Trust.

The Temporary Staffing Department is responsible for booking temporary Bank and Agency staff for all areas of the Trust. Our service is customer focused, efficient and responsive to the needs of the Trust, ensuring all requests are handled in a timely way and that shifts are filled as cost effectively as possible.

Main duties of the job

To manage on a day to day basis the administrative systems and processes associated with sourcing, booking and payment of Bank and Agency staff, ensuring efficiencies and cost savings are achieved as far as possible.

To be responsible for the day to day supervision of the Temporary Staffing Admin Assistants providing Bank and Agency staff for all areas of the Trust.

To support the Temporary Staffing Team leader in ensuring quality and governance standards are met in relation to the provision of Bank and Agency staff.

  • To supervise and support all Temporary Staffing Admin Assistants including rota management, appraisal, professional development, attendance management and disciplinary, conduct and performance issues.
  • To deputise for the Temporary Staffing Team Leader when required.
  • To participate with the oncall manager rota for supporting the TSD call centre out of hours and weekends, including working bank holidays.
  • To act as a building key holder and participate in the manager open rota.
  • To act at all times in a professional manner that promotes a positive image of the Trust and upholds and promotes its core values and to act as a role model for others.
  • To provide leadership to all staff that promotes a culture of positive and effective teamwork.
  • To take responsibility for own continuous professional development and mandatory and statutory training, and disseminate learning and information gained to others in order to share good practice.

About us

We are a small team based at the Shrewsbury Business Park during office hours (Mon-Fri 07.30 - 17.00). The out of hours service is onsite (Mon-Fri 17.00 - 20.00 & Weekends/BH 07.30 - 20.00).

We are incredibly proud of the service we provide to the Trust and our Bank Staff. We expect you to have previous experience of working in a busy office environment and be able to display a high standard of communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
