Are you an enthusiastic, experienced physiotherapist who is looking to progress their career with a specialist rotation in critical care?
We have the opportunity of maternity leave cover available for a fixed term of 12 - 15 months starting as soon as possible to allow for handover with the existing post holder. The post is part of the established critical care therapy team which comprises of physio, OT and therapy support workers. The therapy provision follows the patient from their stay on critical care, discharge to the ward environment and on to discharge from hospital. The therapists are also involved in the follow up consultant led clinics
Experience of working on critical care is essential though specific teaching is available within the department both at The Princess Royal and The Royal Shrewsbury Hospitals.

Main duties of the job
To assess, diagnose/interpret and manage own specialist caseload of complex critical care patients as an autonomous practitioner in accordance with Professional Code of Conduct and Health and Care Professions Council Regulations.
The post holder will be expected to work as part of the 7 day working rota and take part in emergency respiratory on-call. Part time and job shares would be considered for the full time posts as long as full service cover is achieved.

Therapy Services are an integral part of these plans, as is the development of integrated working throughout the county.
