West London NHS Trust is recruiting a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to work across two specialist areas. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced psychologist to deliver specialist trauma-focused interventions alongside ongoing work within CAMHS.
Hammersmith & Fulham CAMHS (0.6WTE): We are a friendly, supportive, and experienced multi-disciplinary specialist mental health service, who thrive on innovative practice to meet the local population needs of a culturally and economically diverse borough. You would be working within our Child and Family Team providing specialist mental health assessments and psychological interventions to young people aged 0 to 14. You would offer specialist psychological interventions for a wide range of presentations, including developmental and other forms of trauma.
National Psychology Service for Terrorism Trauma Care (0.4WTE): The national service has been set up to offer psychological support to children, adolescents and families affected by terrorism.
Main duties of the job
We welcome applications from experienced Clinical and Counselling Psychologists who bring:o Experience delivering psychological assessment and therapy with children, adolescents and families, particularly where trauma, grief, bereavement or complex presentations are involved.o Competence using evidence-based trauma interventions suitable for young people (e.g. TF-CBT, EMDR, NET, and integrative trauma models).o Skills in formulation, risk assessment, and developmentally informed clinical decision-making.o Experience of multidisciplinary or multiagency work, ideally within trauma, crisis, CAMHS, Paediatric, or complex care settings.o A commitment to culturally competent, accessible and inclusive practice.o The ability to collaborate effectively with statutory and voluntary sector partners.
