Occupational Therapy Assistant

Job summary

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated individual with an interest in working with children.

The Children's Therapy Team provides services to children aged 0-19 years with varying special needs. You will be responsible for assisting the Occupational Therapy Team in a variety of community settings such as nurseries, mainstream schools, clinic setting and children's homes.

The closing date may be brought forward if sufficient applications have been received.

Main duties of the job

Duties will include providing general administrative, service development and organisational support to the Hounslow Children's Occupational Therapy Team as well as the wider Therapy service.

Supporting in the delivery of individual and group therapy to caseload children and clinically assisting Occupational Therapists through observation, note taking as well as training delivery.

The ability to work independently as well as being a team player is vital. You must be able to demonstrate good time management and communication skills, as well as understand and have empathy for children with additional needs and their families.
