Job summary
The London Estates Team has an opportunity for 18 Months fixed term Estates Projects Manager (Building services engineering bias) to support the Deputy Head of Estates to deliver a diverse range of complex and building services related technical projects across the London Estate. The successful candidate will have line management responsibility and manage capital, site infrastructure, repair, upgrade projects, refurbishments within clinical and non-clinical environment.
The successful candidate will be qualified and experienced in relevant field (refer to Person Specification for details) and have a passion to be involved in stakeholder engagement, design development and environmental improvement including an interest in sustainability within the field; they will be a leader in their field with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to convey complex and technical messages to non-technical audiences whilst fully embracing the Trust Values.
This post would be suitable for a motivated and professional individual with a proven track record of delivering at pace, with an exceptional eye for detail and who is result-oriented.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be expected to work closely with all Stakeholders
o To project manage Capital and Estates Projects arising from the Trust Estate Strategy, Operational Capital Programme and Departmental Business Plan, including building, construction and mechanical & electrical Engineering. Projects to be managed within agreed timescales, costs and quality criteria in accordance with the Trust's Standing Financial Instructions and recognised best practice.
o To complete accurate specifications of work, detailed drawings and work schedules and issue for competitive tendering. Analyse tender returns & recommend the most suitable contractor.
o The post holder will be required to work on single or multiple projects of variable size, values and complexity.
