Job summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic band 3 Healthcare Facilitator who is looking for a new challenge to work within Lakeside Mental Health Unit. Your role within the team would be to help support and implement treatment plans for service users under the care of the ward. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate understanding of the needs of services users who are experiencing a mental health crisis. You also have to be motivated and have the experience of working with acutely unwell service users.

In return, we are able to offer you an excellent and rewarding experience. You will be provided regular supervision, development programme and training opportunities, both in-house and external. You will receive an extensive induction prior to starting work.

Main duties of the job

To be aware of and assist in meeting the holistic needs such as psychological, social, physical, recreational and spiritual needs of all service users. To recognise and value service users as individuals, acknowledging the importance of maintaining the service users respect and dignity at all times. To ensure that the care provided respects equality and diversity that is supportive of service users and their families/friends and carers.

Encourage and empower through recovery principles those who use our services to have an optimum level of responsibility for their individual programme of care and with their consent, where appropriate, seek the cooperation of friends / relatives / carers.

To work under the supervision of a registered nurse. To maintain timely and accurate patient written / electronic records under supervision and in line with Trust and service line policy and procedure.
