Applications are invited for a suitably qualified Podiatrist, who is HCPC registered, to join the Physical Health Centre (PHC) at Broadmoor hospital to develop and promote foot health to inpatients within the hospital.
The successful candidate will be based in the PHC and will have knowledge and experience in delivering tailored Podiatrist advice underpinned by a robust theoretical evidence base, and the ability to plan, prioritise and organise their workload, whilst developing / expanding their own skills and experience.
The role is part time (7.5 Hrs per week) and there is an expectation that the post holder can be flexible in regards to working days, in order to provide greater access to this service by inpatients.

Main duties of the job
To work as a key member of the PHC team, having significant clinical NHS experience post registration with a highly developed knowledge of the treatment of the high risk foot, in particular patients with vascular neurological or metabolic conditions such as Diabetes. The post holder will be required to work autonomously within the PHC, providing high quality clinical care in accordance with service criteria.
The role is primarily based in the PHC, but for patients that are unable to come to the PHC, the Podiatrist will be required, from time to time, to see and assess patients in the clinic rooms on the in-patient wards. If this occurs, then the Podiatrist will be fully supported by PHC staff and will only happen if there is a genuine reason for the patient not being able to attend the PHC.
