An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Psychologist with experience of working with young people with Neurodevelopmental conditions and / or Learning Disabilities and their families to work in West London CAMHS as a Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist (Band 8A - 1.0 WTE, part time applicants will be considered).
The role is based in two teams: The Ealing Transitions Team and the Ealing CAMHS Learning Disability Team. The Ealing Transitions Team provides social care services to young people aged 14 to 18 with complex needs arising from their learning disability in order to prepare them for adulthood, and to help them move on to independence or adult social care services, depending on their needs. The Ealing CAMHS LD Team provide assessment and intervention for children young people with a Learning Disabilities and their families and networks.
Main duties of the job
You will offer a high-quality service to young people, families / carers, alongside working effectively with your colleagues and liaising with other professionals in the network. This role combines clinical work (involving specialist assessment and interventions) with opportunities to further develop leadership and consultation skills as part of a multi-agency partnership. Ealing CAMHS has a strong multi-disciplinary approach and thrives on innovative and reflexive practice to meet the needs of a socially, economically culturally diverse London borough. Essential
- Doctoral level training in clinical psychology, including specifically models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics and neuropsychology, two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology as accredited by the British Psychological Society, or equivalent if trained overseas.
- Eligible to work as a Practitioner Psychologist (Clinical) as approved by the Health Care Professions Council.
- Training in supervision.

- Experience of specialist psychological assessment and treatment of children, adolescents and their families across a range of care settings, (e.g. outpatient, community, primary care, in patient settings).
