Job summary
As the assistant catering stores person you will be assisting the catering stores person in the day to day running of the catering stores. You will be responsible for the daily cleaning, stacking, stock rotation and picking of products among other duties within the catering stores.
As a centre of excellence, you will have to demonstrate good people's skills with colleagues, other staff members, delivery drivers and visitors. You will demonstrate administrative experience especially the use of MS Office.
You should be able to organise and prioritise your workload against a high level of throughput.
Main duties of the job
You will make sure stock levels are maintained, stored and issued in strict accordance with the catering service Food Safety and Hygiene standards.
You will actively strive to development and improvement of the processes within the role that will benefit the services and the service user like quality checks on deliveries, stock rotation, following HACCP procedures in place etc.
You will have effective communication and relationship skills with all aspects of the catering department, within the hospital and with suppliers.
You will follow and ensure all paperwork is filled in appropriately and accurately, all tasks completed as specified on the work schedule.
