About Broadmoor hospital
Opened in 2019, the current Broadmoor Hospital is a state-of-the-art facility fit for the 21st century.
It was purpose built to provide a safe, therapeutic environment for the treatment and rehabilitationof patients who need high-secure psychiatric care

Main duties of the job
Are you looking to join a security team who are operating front edge technological security systems? Come and join us at Broadmoor Learning Development Centre security support recruitment open day event on Saturday 18th February2022 from 10:00 - 15:00. No experience? No problem. You don't need any security experience to join security operational services at Broadmoor hospital as a security support staff member. It is more important that you are a respectful team player, and committed to delivering a comprehensive and efficient service that helps and supports our patients, their families and our colleagues.
The role requires shift work (early shifts, late shifts, shop days, nights, weekends including bank holidays including Christmas day) so ability to work these shifts on a rota basis is essential.
At the event, there will be a number of security colleagues to tell you about the hospital and the job role, along with all the support in place for our employees at the Hospital..

The successful candidate will work with a team that is responsible to ensure access and egress is only given to authorised persons, vehicles, equipment, mail and possessions and they are all subject to screening and search procedures in accordance with hospital policies.
Help ensure site security & safety is maintained by responding to situations and incidents within the hospital and carrying out security checks and patrols in accordance with policies and procedures.
Support operations in other parts of the Security Directorate in accordance with skills and training, assist the security team in ensuring that site security is maintained through monitoring security systems, responding to alarms and incidents within the hospital, controlling movement and ensuring that patients can be accounted for at all times.
