Job summary

Community and Recovery Mental Health Services at West London are seeking to appoint a highly experienced and personable Lead Nurse for Quality and Safety to work with the Clinical and Associate Directors within CARMHS and the Deputy Director of Nursing for Local Services to enhance quality and safety across the service line. CARMHS has a budget of approximately £25m and employs 400+ staff.

There are a significant number of nursing posts across CARMHS and there are currently three community matron roles who would report to this post and will support the post holder in the quality and safety improvements across the service line.

We are looking for a candidate with a comprehensive track record in quality improvement within an acute or community mental healthcare setting. The post holder will be instrumental in the continuous improvement of clinical standards and will need to utilise a range of measures to demonstrate safe standards and improvements across the service line.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will have specific responsibilities for training, supervision and record keeping across systems.

You will need a comprehensive knowledge of Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), Quality Improvement (QI) or Performance Improvement (PI) methodology, focussing on rigorous, systematic, organization-wide processes to achieve ongoing improvement in the quality of healthcare services and operations.

The post holder will need to focus on both outcomes and processes of care. The post-holder should have experience in operational delivery and strategic service development along with robust clinical nursing experience and knowledge.
