Job summary

Ealing CAMHS is looking for a Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist (up to 10 PAs) to join our friendly, supportive, and experienced multi-disciplinary specialist mental health service within our Neurodevelopmental Team.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, skilled and innovative Consultant Psychiatrist who can help taking a leading role within our services using a creative and dynamic approach. The role offers the opportunity to combine clinical work with providing leadership and service development within our community and specialist teams. We are looking for a candidate who is able to maintain clinical curiosity and engage in reflective practice, as well as be able to be an advocate for children, young people and families' needs. We hope the successful candidate would support and implement our commitments to staff wellbeing, manageable job plans and giving staff the opportunity to develop skills and knowledge further whilst in role.

Main duties of the job

Essential

  • MRCPsych Part 1 and 2
  • Registration on Specialist Register or within 6/12 of registration
  • Higher training in autism spectrum disorder assessment

Desirable

  • Higher Academic Degree
  • Possession of Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry

Eligibility

Essential

  • Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practice at the time of appointment
  • GMC Specialist Register or within six months
  • Approved clinician status OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment
  • Good standing with GMC with respect to warning and conditions on practice
  • Approved under S12 OR able to achieve with 3 months of appointment
