Job summary

Calling all CAMHS Core professions such as CBT practitioners, clinical/ counselling psychologists, family systemic psychotherapists, mental health nurses, CAMHS occupational therapists, child psychotherapists or CAMHS social workers!

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced clinical manager to join the Hounslow Mental Health Support Team (MHST). We would like to hear from confident CAMHS professionals with significant experience of day to day operational leadership, and offering supervision and line management to clinicians.

It is essential you hold a relevant clinical qualification and have previous experience of working in a specialist or early help CAMHS team; experience of working in an educational setting would be a bonus. You will be responsible for the delivery of a high quality and responsive CAMHS service, including implementation and review of systems, policies, standards and procedures within frameworks agreed by the Trust, partner agencies and commissioners.

Main duties of the job

This role is a chance to make a difference in young lives, and as such includes both operational management and clinical duties.

The main focus is to:

  • Provide day to day senior operational management and leadership for the clinical functioning of the East MHST whilst working alongside service leaders to develop and implement a wide range of interventions and projects with local schools.
  • Lead on and directly provide comprehensive assessment, risk management and interventions for young people experiencing emotional and mental health difficulties.
  • Work with school staff and cultures in developing school environments that are more conducive to supporting sustainably better emotional health and wellbeing.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that will provide a talented and ambitious manager with real scope to develop and influence practice. If you are interested in working with schools and want to help shape new models of evidence-based support for CYP, this job could be for you.
