An exciting opportunity has arisen following a further successful bid to train Children's Wellbeing Practitioners in West London NHS Trust. We are now looking to recruit a CAMHS CWP Supervisor / Service Development Lead on a permanent basis within Hounslow CCAMHS.

The new CWP Supervisor will be joining an experienced team of clinicians who are committed and passionate about supporting and assisting trainees and new recruits in their professional development. We provide a wide variety of opportunities for clinicians and trainees to work alongside other disciplines in assessment work, group work and workshops delivery. This role is open to Clinical/Counselling Psychologist/Family Therapist/Nurse/Child Psychotherapist/CBT therapist with BABCP accreditation to apply.
Main duties of the job
This newly appointed person will be responsible for the management and intensive supervision of the new cohort of trainee Children's Wellbeing Practitioners (CWPs) as well as the qualified trainees, at Band 5, who are working within the Hounslow Community CAMHS Team.
The role will include the co-ordination and appropriate delegation of work and necessary staff support; leading on choosing appropriate cases, providing supervision and opportunities for the CWP's to develop their skills and competence, as well as supporting with the requirements trainees have for the course.
Also the post holder will lead on the development of this part of the service in conjunction with the CCAMHS team manager and clinical supervisor for this role. This will be an exciting and varied role and will involve the post holder working as part of a wider CAMHS multidisciplinary team.
The training the CWPs will receive will enable them to deliver, under close supervision, high quality, brief, focused and evidence-based therapeutic interventions for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties (low mood, anxiety and behavioural difficulties).
We welcome applications from candidates who have experience supervising CWPs and have completed the relevant CYP-IAPT supervision training, but also from candidates without this specific supervision training as support would be given for a successful candidate to access this as part of the role.
