This is an exciting job opportunity for Clinical Psychologists interested in expanding their experience in inpatient neuro-rehabilitation and vocational rehabilitation.
This is a split post role working across inpatient and community neuro-rehabilitation. Part of the role involves providing specialist neuropsychological assessment and intervention to a level 3 neuro-rehabilitation ward based at Clayponds Hospital. The other part of the role will involve working with the Enable Neuro Community Rehabilitation Service to deliver vocational assessment and rehabilitation to patients living with acquired brain injury and long-term neurological conditions in Ealing.
We are a Clinical Health and Neuropsychology service based within Ealing Community Partners (ECP), which is a group of NHS, council and voluntary organisations working together to transform community health and care services within Ealing. We are part of a broader clinical neuropsychology and health network in West London NHS Trust, with over 20 neuropsychologists and health psychologists working across North West London. We meet regularly with the wider network which offers excellent opportunities for peer support and continued professional development. We are also able to offer specialist supervision and support to psychologists who would like to pursue training for entry on the Specialist Register of Clinical Neuropsychology.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for someone with experience of neuropsychological rehabilitation and/or neuropsychological assessment and intervention with patients with neurological conditions. The post would particularly suit someone who enjoys working with varied client groups, teamwork, providing consultation and teaching to other health professionals, and contributing to service development.

TRAINING & QUALIFICATION
Essential
- Post-graduate, doctoral level training in clinical psychology, or its equivalent, leading to eligibility for Chartered Status by the British Psychological Society.
- Current registration as a Clinical Psychologist with the Health Care and Professions Council

- Post-doctoral training in Clinical Neuropsychology
- Formal training in supervision of psychologists and/ or other health professionals.
EXPERIENCE
Essential
- Experience of working with a wide variety of patient groups, across the whole life course presenting problems that reflect the full range of clinical severity including maintaining a high degree of professionalism in the face of highly emotive and distressing problems, verbal abuse and the threat of physical abuse.
- Demonstrate further specialist training/experience through having received a minimum of 50 hours clinical supervision of working as a specialist clinical psychologist over a minimum of 18 months.
- Experience of the application of clinical psychology assessment, intervention and outcome measures with patients with neurological conditions.
- Experience of working at a specialist/highly specialist clinical psychologist level in neurological rehabilitation setting
- Experience of teaching, training and supervision of health care professionals and/or assistant/trainee psychologists
