Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a newly qualified band 5 nurse to join band 5-6 development post

Successful candidates will be enrolled onto an 18 months development programme across inpatient and community settings, including a full preceptorship package and development to B6 level.

Main duties of the job

Your role within the team would be to implement treatment and care plans to address the health needs of our service users. You will also provide support to carers work within the multidisciplinary team and liaise with a variety of other teams and organisations

Candidates will need to demonstrate some understanding of the needs of older people with mental illness and physical health care challenges.

Essential

  • Professionally qualified and registered Nurse with current NMC registration in Mental Health / LD/ Adult Nursing.

Desirable

  • Other post-basic professional qualifications relative to the role in the specific care group

Experience

Essential

  • Working with people with mental health and physical health problems
  • Working within a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Experience of prioritising their workload
  • Ability to assess health needs in an initial assessment

Desirable

  • Lived experience of mental health issues or caring for an older person with mental health problems
