Clinical Lead (CPN/OT/Social Worker)

We are asking for expressions of interest (internal candidates) or applications (external candidates) from suitably qualified, enthusiastic and experienced professionals. This is to cover the Clinical Lead post in the Ealing Early Intervention in Psychosis Team for a year as the current post holder is due to go on secondment for a period of one year starting from July 2022.

The post holder will provide clinical leadership in collaboration with the team manager and lead professionals in the delivery of the NICE recommended package of care to users who are experiencing First Episode Psychosis.

This is a fulltime post (WTE 1.0) working Monday to Friday, 9-5 hours. The Job description and person specification are attached. This post is open to all professionals who are currently in band 6 or 7 posts and are aspiring to work in a well resourced specialist service. We offer hope and recovery to those experiencing first episode in psychosis. Staff will need to have discussed this secondment with their line manager prior to interview.

Main duties of the job

The Clinical lead will support the cost effective delivery of Early Intervention Services as per NICE guidance to service users aged 14 - 65. The clinical lead will be supporting budget management and control, ensuring staff wellbeing through regular supervision, appraisal, induction, promoting and supporting adherence to health and safety at work and facilitating flexible working whilst ensuring safe delivery of care.

The clinical lead will help improving clinical effectiveness by undertaking and supporting care coordinators with the following;

- ensuring adherence to team structures and processes e.g. zoning, face to face contacts etc.

- undertaking initial assessments in timely fashion

- completing care plans with patients, completing risk Formulation/Management and treatment of psychosis as per NICE guidelines.

- managing patient flow through rigorous screening of referrals, monitoring 8 week assessments and supporting the discharge of patients who have exceeded their time with EIP or are not engaged meaningfully with the service.

- coordinating and collaborating with lead professionals in the consistent and holistic delivery of EIP's 7 core interventions.
