Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

Job summary

The Islington Learning Disabilities Speech and Language Therapy team is a small, well established team and sits within a wider multidisciplinary team. You will be working closely with the SLT team lead, band 6 and part time SLTA to provide a comprehensive communication and dysphagia service to adults with learning disabilities within the borough. You will be encouraged to take part in service wide projects and training and will carry a varied caseload of clients with varying levels of learning disabilities who have complex dysphagia and communication needs.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will manage a caseload of complex communication and dysphagia needs for adults with learning disabilities within the borough of Islington. The post holder will have strong supervisory responsibilities and caseload management skills. There will be regular collaboration with multi disciplinary colleagues and multi agency working.
