Dietitian - Band 6
Contract : Fixed Term Contract January - November 2025
Full time 37.5 hours per week
We have an opportunity within our team for a dietitian to cover a clinical caseload across the adult inpatient wards and to support where needed outpatient clinic.
The role is ideal for a dietitian with experience in the acute setting. specifically of creating oral and enteral nutrition plans for acutely unwell adult patients. You will also need experience of managing home enterally fed patients, admitted to the hospital and requiring adaptation of their usual feeding regimen and safe discharge home once well.
Main duties of the job
To be responsible for providing comprehensive nutritional care for patients on the adult wards, identifying medium and high risk patients and initiating interventions immediately to prevent further deterioration in nutritional status and associated complications.
To act as an expert resource for the management of adult inpatients and support the education and training of dietetic students and other health care professionals within the organisation.
To participate in audit and research activities within the department.
