SENIOR CLINICAL FELLOW
Applications are invited for the post of Clinical Research Fellow In Breast Surgery with General Surgery interest at Whittington Health NHS Trust. This is a fixed term post initially for 12 months, with the option to extend.
All candidates should be eligible for full registration with the GMC.
Main duties of the job
We are seeking to appoint a Senior Clinical Fellow in Breast & General Surgery to join our forward-thinking department. This is a 12-month fixed term placement with a view for extension and conversion to substantive post for the suitable candidate. The successful appointee will join colleagues in the thriving and busy oncoplastic breast service department providing elective and emergency patient care both in the in-patient and out-patient settings for Whittington Health NHS Trust. The post-holder will be expected to carry out elective outpatient activity one-stop clinic sessions independently. There is also an opportunity to perform and assist in a wide variety oncoplastic breast procedures in theatres weekly, this will range from level 1 to level 3 oncoplastic surgery, reconstructive surgery, complex revision, and symmetrising procedures. The successful candidate will also take part in the General Surgery on-call rota that is currently a one in eleven rota.
