Job summary

Contract: Permanent. Full-Time 37.5 hours per week

Salary £33,706 - £40,588 plus 15% HCAS

There will be a mixture of remote and office-based work. All staff are required to work part of the week in any of the locations around the borough of Haringey.

The post holder will be a qualified Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner responsible for playing a supporting role to the Lead PWP and supporting the PWP Team, and will be at least one year post qualification. The post holder will have existing training on a nationally recognised post graduate programme ideally a post graduate certificate in low intensity cognitive behavioural interventions. They will have the knowledge about a range of mental health issues, and in how to provide a range of brief solution focused interventions for adults who are experiencing mild to moderate emotional difficulties, particularly anxiety and depression.

Main duties of the job

We particularly welcome staff members who are able to speak and work in languages that reflect the diverse communities in our Borough.

The Post holder will be part of a team of IAPT workers under the leadership of the Haringey IAPT Senior Management Team.

The post holder will provide step 2 case management, run clinicals skills workshops for trainee PWPs and screening supervision. They may also be involved in triaging referrals to the service.

The post holder will work closely with the Lead PWP.

In addition, the post holder will maintain a reduced case load of patients and deliver Step 2 CBT based interventions.

The post holder will support service development and innovation of new initiatives and ways of working within the service

On occasion the role may include supporting the Community and Engagement PWP and PWP employment lead with engaging community organisations, the voluntary sector, social care, and primary and secondary care organisations .

Clinical Responsibilities

  • To support practice staff in their management of patients with mental health needs.
  • To provide clinical supervision to PWPs, trainee PWPs and other unqualified step 2 workers (e.g. assistant psychologists, honorary staff) according to clinical expertise and service.
