Job summary

The purpose of this role is to lead the efficient delivery of the Trust's temporary staffing service. The purpose of this role is to ensure that the Trust receives a service which represents value for money in terms of both quality and cost.

The purpose of this role is to ensure that, in relation to the provision of temporary staffing, there are contractual arrangements and measures in place to minimise risk and which are linked to the provision of high quality patient care and service improvement.

The post-holder is responsible for managing the outsourced bank contract, overseeing the bank service and ensuring that this meets the ongoing needs of the organisation. The post-holder will that there are systems and processes in place to provide robust assurance to the Trust in relation to a range of indicators such as pre-employment checks, compliance with the Agency Workers Regulations and NHS Improvement.

Main duties of the job

Providing leadership on temporary staffing issues to support the Trust in meeting its corporate objectives and financial savings targets;

Managing the performance of the Trust's managed bank service provider;

Engaging with a wide range of stakeholders across the organisation to lead the project to deliver minimal agency usage across the organisation in line with agreed timeframes, regularly reporting on progress to the Workforce Efficiencies Programme Board;

Working closely with key internal stakeholders to ensure the successful roll-out and maintenance of an integrated eRoster and bank software solution;

Undertaking a regular programme of in-house auditing of the Trust's bank and agency suppliers against any or all of the contractual arrangements, reporting on the findings and providing assurance to the Head of Workforce Compliance which forms the basis of reports to the Workforce Compliance Management group;
