Job summary
The post holder will be responsible for supporting the day to day running of the Maternity Administration Team including workload, scheduling, and staffing.The Maternity Administration team are the first line of contact for Maternity Patients who visit or contact the Trust. This role therefore impacts across the Trust's Maternity Service in terms of reputation, service delivery, and income.They will assist the Maternity Operational Support Manager in liaising with the Midwifery, Obstetric and wider clinical teams and Management Team in resolving issues around capacity, patient concerns and ensuring clinical systems, patient records and information are kept up to date.They will also support the Maternity Operational Support Manager with staff management duties for the Maternity Administration Team.
Main duties of the job
The post holder is responsible for ensuring that the administration duties required to support the provision of quality Maternity services are delivered at all times. As such, the post holder will be expected to undertake clerical and administrative duties as part of the team where appropriate to ensure service delivery. They will ensure the work of the department is carried out to the required high standards of accuracy with a focus on the delivery of high-quality customer care and the highest levels of data quality and completeness

Ensure the Maternity Administration team are proactively reviewing and updating patients demographic details to ensure that full patient registrations take place with the accurate recording of all data.Ensure that referral processing and appointments allocation is completed in a timely manner, prioritising them to ensure that local and national targets are met.
