Pre-Registration Nursing Practice Education Facilitator

Job summary
Assist the Lead Nurse for Student Experience and Talent Management and supervisors/assessors with the facilitation of learning for a range of pre-registration nursing students across all areas of clinical practice. The post-holder will be working with the support of the clinical learning and placement manager, community student placement facilitators, practice development nurses and other members of the learning and development team.
The post holder with the support and guidance from the Lead Nurse Student Experience, will co-ordinate, monitor and audit placement experiences, support and advice practice assessor/practice supervisors and teams to ensure all elements of learners' programme are met. They will play a key role in enabling and providing support to our Return to Practice Nurses, Registered Nurse Degree Apprentices, Trainee Nursing Associates, pre-registration student nurses and other learners to maximise their placement opportunities with valuable learning experiences.
They will support the Lead Nurse for Student Experience, practice development nurses and other members of the clinical education team.
Main duties of the job
- Assist in the delivery of bands 2- 4 training; including care certificate programmes, and their supporting career aspirations.
- Facilitate the delivering of Future Nurse Proficiency skills sessions for undergraduate nursing students.
- Lead on recruitment, selection, and placement of return to practice nurses (RTP)
- Co-ordinate the recruitment and placements for Registered Nurse degree apprentices (RNDA)
- Assist with recruitment and the development of Trainee Nursing Associates (TNA).
- Assist with the facilitation for career advice events across hospital and community.
- Contribute to the delivery of Practice Supervisor/Assessors workshops, as well as student induction and workshops on preparation for Practice, and Employment.
- Contribute to relevant conferences, educational and career development events.
- Work closely with other members of the clinical education team.
