Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a successful, patient focused, and vibrant Women's Health Services Department, part of Acute Patient Access, Clinical Support Services, Women's Health Integrated Clinical Service Unit (ACW ICSU) at Whittington Health as a locum Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. The post will require formal training and experience in advanced Labour Ward Practice and experience in benign gynaecology, management of endometriosis and pelvic pain. Candidates will need to have excellent clinical skills and experience in perinatal mental health.

You will join the current medical staff in obstetrics and gynaecology and will contribute to the obstetric rota based at the Whittington Hospital. ATSM in major abdominal surgery.

You will be expected to deliver clinical excellence and demonstrate a strong commitment to multi-professional working. A willingness to learn and work within a constantly changing environment is necessary together with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Candidates should possess leadership skills to drive improvement and share learning.

You will need to demonstrate how your skill mix will help the department thrive and develop.Entry onto the GMC specialist register or eligibility for entry within 6 months of the date of application is essential.
