We currently have an exciting opportunity within our Wound Healing Service:
- 1.0 WTE post based within the community setting
Our specialist team focuses on managing Hard to Heal wounds, working closely with patients to set realistic goals based on their healing potential. We deliver advanced treatments in clinics, patients' homes, and residential/nursing settings.
This role offers variety and professional growth, with opportunities to collaborate with Practice Nurses, Community Nurses, and care home staff--sharing wound care expertise across the community.
Please note that a Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle are essential for this role.
Please note this post is not suitable for applicants who are required to undertake the OSCE training programme. Applicants who do not have current valid UK NMC registration will not be considered for this post. Applicants must also have post-preceptorship experience.
Main duties of the job
- Deliver advanced wound healing interventions in clinic, community, or residential settings.
- Provide evidence-based wound care and advice to patients attending the service.
- Support learners and visitors in clinic settings.
- Take charge of the working area in the absence of the wound care sister, with support from senior staff.
- Develop individualised care plans in partnership with patients, identifying healing potential and MDT involvement.
