Job summary
Applications are open for a HPB Senior Clinical Fellow who wishes to gain experience inHepatobiliary and Pancreatic surgery. The role would be suitable for a senior trainee as is for amaximum of five months.o The Senior Clinical Fellow will be expected to manage Pre and post op patients.o The Senior Clinical Fellow will be encouraged to publish and present at local andinternational meetings in HPB.o Modular HPB cases hands on training (STU) for both benign and malignant conditions.o Cross site case observations.o Undertake a 1:18 on-call rota to support emergency care.

Main duties of the job
In addition to HPB registrar work, the duties of the post include providing senior cover for HPBpatients, attending theatre/outpatient sessions and care of admitted General Surgical patients. Thereis a commitment to the acute general surgical rota (commensurate with experience). The appointedcandidate will be expected to carry out a degree of clinical work (clinics) independently. There isaccess to modern imaging (CT PET), Endoscopy (ERCP and EUS) and robotics on single site.This post offers excellent exposure and experience in complex HPB surgery. The Senior ClinicalFellow is expected to develop operative skills in robotic surgery and judgement in the care of suchpatients through the full spectrum of the specialty.
