Main duties of the job
- Participate in the education and development of the nursing team, including appraisals. Providing direct supervision and assessment of students, and preceptorship of newly qualified nurses.
- Demonstrate competencies and skills in conscious sedation, scrub nursing, recovery, ward assessment, pre assessment, edischarge, and nurse led discharge
- Assist in the delivery of training and development programmes and study days for staff and learners in practice.

- Effective communication and appropriate escalation during an unexpected event, as well as situations involving conflict.
- Demonstration and education of IPC protocol, and promotion of a clean safe working environment. Management of risks as per trust policy.
- Demonstration of UHCWi methodology including waste management, improving patient experience, and standard work.
- Responsible for direct promotion of professionalism in the clinical areas, and escalation of concerns to appropriate management team.
- Assist in the delivery of training and development programmes and study days for staff and learners in practice.
- Act as a role model for excellence, empowering others through education and support.
- Work collaboratively with other professional groups to maximise development opportunities and inter-professional learning opportunities.
