Job summary
The Lung Cancer Screening Programme aims to enable the early detection of lung cancer, improving patient outcomes and saving lives. With the National Screening Committee's review and approval, the programme is set to be implemented nationally from 2028/29.
This programme targets individuals aged 55-74 with a smoking history who are registered with participating GP practices. Patients are assessed for lung cancer risk through telephone screening using an accredited risk assessment tool.
