Job summary
- To facilitate accreditation processes in the Imaging Services Radiology and Nuclear Medicine, carrying out the required administration and facilitation tasks to support the accreditation processes.
- To manage departmental administrative systems providing assurance for the accuracy of data recording and analysis in respect to department Governance procedures. To act as a source of advice and guidance regarding the specialty.
- To make informed decisions within area of responsibility, ensuring that agreed standards and targets are met in accordance with Departmental, Trust and National standards, policies and procedures.
- The management of the Radiology Governance Team, recruitment, ESR, appraisals and annual Leave.
- Providing and developing a comprehensive service in line with required internal and external standards

Main duties of the job
- To be responsible for the management of the Radiology Governance Admin Team and the relevant processes
- Provide specialist management administrative services to support the Radiology Department senior management team
- To be a senior point of contact on behalf of Governance Team for filtering and dealing with all enquiries, complaints and requests for information in line with department and trust guidelines, policies and procedures
- To be the line manager for the Governance Team. Responsible for the ESR management of the team, completing PDR's, mandatory training, annual leave, and where necessary setting expected targets in line with Trust's Human Resource Policies and ensuring that the Governance Team meets the Admin Academy Standards
- To be responsible for recruitment to the Governance Admin Team as directed by the Governance Superintendent
- Responsible for the preparation and distribution of appropriate information to those within own department and other internal and external staff.
- Undertake any project work as directed e.g. obtaining information from various sources, collation and reporting of data, assisting in the production of reports and other documents relating to the Imaging Department Governance Processes
