Job summary

Due to the Trust's commitment to increase the numbers of placements for direct entry Nursing and Nursing Associate Pre-Registration students undertaking NMC approved education programmes, and with an ambition to recruit and retain this future workforce, we are seeking to recruit a full time Band 7 Practice Educator.

Practice Development are an established team with a robust support infrastructure in place and managed by a senior nursing team under the direction of the Practice Development Lead and Associate Director of Nursing for Education and Research.

The post holder will work as part of a practice development team to provide support and guidance to practice learning support staff. They will work in partnership with stakeholders to ensure the development of inter professional learning opportunities in practice. In addition they will ensure that positive learning environments are created and maintained to drive the integration of theory with practice.

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will have responsibilities which include student preparation and support, recruitment of students, expansion, maintenance, monitoring and review of practice placements and the learning environment, development of practice learning, partnership working with internal and external stakeholders such as ward managers, partner Universities, NHS England and practice assessors, curriculum development, etc.
