Supporting the Registered Nursing staff in providing personal care and assistance for patients within University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire Trust across both sites at University Hospital Coventry & Hospital of St Cross, Rugby.

Job responsibilities
You must be aged 16 or over and have either a Level 3 BTEC Diploma or extended Diploma or equivalent qualification or have previous experience in a health and social care setting.
Healthcare Support Worker (HCSW)-Band 2-£22,383 + enhancements.
Sponsorship is unable to be supported with this role.
As a band 2 HCSW you must have previous experience of working within a healthcare environment or already hold a level 3 health and social care related qualification.
Full and Part Time Posts available. The salary will be pro rata for part time staff.

UHCW
- Trauma and Orthopaedics - Staff on Trauma and Orthopaedics care for a wide variety of patients; patients who have been admitted electively for surgery, as well as those from accident and emergency who have sustained a fracture or injury. We also have a dedicated major trauma unit, where we care for patients who have sustained traumatic injuries. Successful applicants will be supported by experienced colleagues and will develop knowledge and skills through working alongside the multi-disciplinary team.
- Theatres - We have 33 theatres across both Coventry and Rugby sites. As a level one major trauma centre we provide 24/7 emergency and trauma surgery and take polytrauma patients from around the region. We perform state of the art Robotic surgery for the previously inoperable, are a regional centre for neurosurgery and specialise in cardiac and renal transplant surgery.
