Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Trial Manager to join our rapidly expanding Trial Management Unit within the Research & Development team.

The Trial Management Unit supports a wide spectrum of sponsored clinical research ranging from observational studies, early phase clinical studies to multi-centre randomised trials. We are looking for an experienced trial manager to join our dynamic and proactive team who have a reputation for pragmatic and facilitative research governance and trial management processes.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will play a leading role in the planning, coordination and delivery of research trials against agreed milestones and local research targets, whilst ensuring high standards of practice in accordance with regulatory requirements and the principles of GCP. Working collaboratively with researchers and clinical delivery teams, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of single and multi-centre trials throughout their lifecycle including protocol development, study set up, data management, on-going performance review and monitoring of recruitment through to study close down. Supporting and managing junior staff within the team you will identify and implement training to deliver high quality patient-focused research.
