The Procurement & Supplies Dept. are looking to appoint a Procurement Information & Catalogue Officer to join their Purchasing team based at University Hospitals, Coventry.

Main duties of the job
As part of the Trust Procurement team, you will provide high-quality data and information to the Procurement team and support the procurement opportunities of the Trust. You will also provide the responses required for national data collection such as Model Hospital Metrics and the Carter Benchmarking metrics.
You contribute to the implementation and development of the Trust e-procurement solutions and ensure content of the e-procurement catalogue is maintained and accurate. You will have good knowledge of the procurement processes within the Trust and liaise and support the clinical groups and corporate departments to enable improvement. This will mean that you will need to engage and liaise with both the wider Trust and external organisations.

Communication and Relationships
- Provide appropriate briefings to project leads and key stakeholders and use communication skills to engage and influence Procurement projects.
- Provide support and guidance on current working practices and offer expert advice on changes as a result of Local and National procurement information / data initiatives
- Ensure the Trust is recognised in the changing Procurement Landscape
- Engage with National Project leads and all Staff Groups to represent the Trust Procurement Tea
- Maintain working relationships with external organisations such NHS Supply Chain, NHS England and software providers
- Provide advice and support to all members of staff in respect of the procurement processes and rules
- Provide advice and support regarding the purchase to pay system
Analytics and Data Management
- Support the Director and Head of Procurement through the collection, analysis, and management of P2P, Spend Contract and other Procurement data
- Responsible for providing and co-ordinating the provision of high quality and timely information to support Trust Groups and staff.
- Analyse commercial data and provide information to support initiation and monitoring of local Trust projects
- Monitors purchasing trends across the Trust to develop category knowledge and aid the collation of market intelligence
- Works with Finance colleagues and Trust Finance Leads providing data in support of demonstrating actual savings and support the validation process.
- Provide information and support to groups to meet the Waste Reduction Programme (WRP) and attend the WRP meeting
- Provide information and dashboards for a wide range of committees that require an update from procurement
- Provide the Trust responses on behalf of Procurement for the Model Hospital Metrics, Carter Benchmarking Metrics, NHS England / Improvement and Supply Chain Coordination Limited
- Identify Contract leakage and provide recommendations on how to bring the contract back on track
- Responsible for the Catalogue content within the e-procurement solution to ensure compliance and good practice
- Lead in the development of reporting tools and dashboards to support procurement and clinical groups
- Lead in the development of reporting tools and dashboards for contract management tools in line with Audit and Information Governance requirements
Team Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for the Purchase to Pay module of the Finance and e-procurement systems
- Represent Procurement in matters relating to the purchase to pay module and e-procurement maintenance and development
Project Management
- Lead on the testing development and implementation of the organisations Procurement Systems with particular emphasis on e-procurement solutions and Scan 4 Safety
- Act as lead for Procurement FOI responses
- Manage the implementation of STP systems development work plan
