Main duties of the job
The Communications team plays a key role in managing the reputation of the Trust and its two hospitals in University Hospital, Coventry and the Hospital of St Cross, Rugby through evidence-based communications. Our objective is to support our staff, patients and all those who work with us to deliver great care.
Our forward-thinking team is responsible for all the Trust's internal and external communications. The team produce all internal and external communications, marketing campaigns, media relations, event management, social media, digital marketing and helping with issues and emergency communications.
Through our special partnership with Virginia Mason Institute in Seattle USA, we have been on an improvement journey as an organisation and that has brought a wide range of support, tools and development to help our team become the best it can be. This includes training in lean methodology and leadership for everyone who joins our team. We think it is a special place to work and as a team, we aspire to be one of the best NHS communications teams in the country, leading by expertise, knowledge and example.
The Communications Officer will support the team in all these functions to tell the story, uphold the values and protect the reputation of one of the busiest teaching trusts in the country.
