ESR & Workforce Information Officer

Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity available for an ESR and Workforce Information Officer to join our team.

You will proactively manage the security and maintenance of the ESR system and assist in its development, in accordance with current HR/Finance/Payroll policies and procedures.

You will provide a range of ESR data reports and respond to ESR queries, often being the first point of contact for managers and will be expected to establish good working relationships with key internal and external contacts, advising on all aspects of the ESR Workforce Information team processes in accordance with local policy and guidelines.

Main duties of the job

1. General office duties to include photocopying, dealing with telephone enquiries, emails and enquiries on a face to face basis, and filing paper records to the agreed departmental standards.

2. Order department stationery, liaise with Information Technology for technical issues and report general office maintenance requests to ISS as and when required.

3. Prioritise all incoming work on a daily basis, responding quickly, appropriately and communicating clearly in relation to urgent / important issues.

4. Any other duties may be required from time to time and which are commensurate with the grade of the post.

Job description

Job responsibilities

1. Design and deliver training for Manager and Employee Self Service and all other relevant functional areas of ESR, such as OLM.

2. Present to groups of varying sizes (1to1s up to large groups), providing instruction, knowledge and guidance on the ESR system to staff at all different levels of the organisation.

3. Provide training on ESR data input and reporting for other team members.

4. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for the department and supporting materials for training.

5. Produce and update information on the ESR Intranet Site including regular updates, ESR News, training dates, documentation and guides.

6. Provide cover for the ESR Helpdesk as and when required.

7. Collate, interpret and present data to enable senior managers to accurately respond to Freedom of Information requests.

8. Produce and supply ad-hoc reports as requested. These are varied, complex and require an in depth knowledge of the Trusts structure to provide accurate details to executive and senior management decision makers.

9. Support the development and maintenance of a detailed Workforce Information reporting suite. Export, collate, and manipulate data in Excel spreadsheets. Analyse and present accurate data in an appropriate format to tight deadlines.

10. Analyse trends involving multiple streams of data, enabling the forecast of potential benefits.
