As a Pharmacy Technician the patient is at the core of EPR program rollout across the Trust. Maintaining this as the golden thread from the organisations vision; you will have the opportunity to not just deliver, but improve, steer and innovate how we deliver our services. You will be a self motivated and driven individual, looking for role which includes the opportunity to influence change and provide subject matter expertise in EPR/eMPA. The role comes with a autonomy to meet the objectives outlined within the Job Description. Whilst the objectives are outlined, the route is yours to determine with support from the Pharmacy leadership team.
Main duties of the job
- The post holder will be part of the Pharmacy Digital Team and act as a specialist Pharmacy Technician leading on the pharmacy technical development, building and configuration of the Electronic Patient Record System (EPR) at UHCW. They will provide technical support, implementation and testing expertise for the EPMA/EPR system. This will include the development and maintenance of the EPMA/EPR system meeting the current and future needs of the Trust and leading the change control processes around this. They will act as a super user for the system and help support the wider EPR program. They will ensure policies, standard operating procedures and guidance around the configuration, testing, validating and use of the system is developed and in place.
- The post holder will provide technical support for any pharmacy related IT system, including any dispensing and stock control systems, automation (pharmacy and ward based), PTS (prescription tracking system) and support pharmacy staff in the use of pharmacy information technology solutions.
