Job summary

To deliver nursing care of a consistently high standard to patients of all ages and cultures who attend the Accident and Emergency or Outpatient Departments. To include the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of each individual's care requirement. To work at all times within the guidelines of the Nursing and Midwifery Council, and Plymouth Hospital NHS Trust guidelines and policies.

Enthusiastic and motivated staff to work in a very busy but well motivated team working an interesting and extensive area of Ophthalmology.

Preference will be given to internal Trust staff, as well as 'Priority' and 'At Risk' status including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon who are able to display recent relevant experience as dictated by the Person Specification.

Main duties of the job

Contribute to the smooth running of a busy OPD department taking on extended roles within the speciality and enhancing patient experience.
