Job summary
An exciting permanent, full time opportunity has arisen to join the Parkinson's Specialist Team to support people with Parkinson's whilst they are in-patients and also in clinic settings within UHP. The successful candidate will preferably have at least one years' experience at band 6, or equivalent, leadership experience and experience or an interest in caring for patients with Parkinson's Disease with insight and knowledge of the condition. Dependant on knowledge and experience, the post is a development post. Commencing at band 6, developing to band 7 on completion of relevant training and meeting specified outcomes. Full support, including a structured induction period will be given to help the post holder to meet the requirements of the role.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be supporting patients with a Parkinson's Disease diagnosis. Delivering care in the clinic setting and on the acute wards and virtually, via our Parkinson's Hub.
***Preference will be given to internal Trust staff, as well as 'Priority' and 'At Risk' status including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon who are able to display recent relevant experience as dictated by the Person Specification.***

- Proven degree or desire to work towards a degree qualification
- Teaching qualification or evidence and demonstrable experience of teaching
- First level diploma in Adult nursing or equivalent Healthcare science involving patient care
